Job opening: Head of Business Development & Sales

Likvor is a MedTech company with a unique diagnostic solution that targets the growing elderly population globally. The company currently sells to hospitals in the Nordics, Europe and the Middle East and participates in research projects for new applications of its technology. Likvor is in an expansion phase and is looking to capture business development opportunities and build sales pipeline by hiring a senior executive, who can also take on the role of vice CEO.

Likvor is based in Umeå, as its patented solution to assess cerebrospinal fluid dynamics originates from research here. This role can however be based in another city, as the work is a customer facing role in a global marketplace. The role will report to the CEO of the company.

What can you expect in the role?

To reach our vision and our growth plans, Likvor needs a new person to help increase turnover and prepare for future sales. The role require delivering on set goals, but there is also freedom to try new approaches. Main focus will be to scale the sales further by developing a new operational plan to target new prospects. Likvor currently works with all major university hospitals in Sweden and put primary expansion focus on other Nordic markets and Europe, where several leads and distribution agreements have been developed. Working in a small team means that another important responsibility is to follow-up with clients after sales, and from time to time this role may need to support the CEO in other activities as well as you will be working closely with one another.

Skills & Requirements

To be successful in this role we expect you have:

  • Extensive experience in both strategic business development and sales towards public and private health care providers internationally.
  • The ideal candidate has proven sales record in the field of diagnostics or products used in relation to treatment of CSF-related diseases.
  • Experience in identifying sales channels and negotiating distribution agreements
  • The confidence and enthusiasm to educate potential customers about Likvor’s CELDA System
  • Experience from building and leading high performing team
  • Good communications and social skills
  • Fluency in English and ideally one more major language

You are able to work on your own, take initiatives and have a strong personal drive. You enjoy having a combination of salary and performance-based compensation scheme.
